  1. Dive Deep is a master class of Quintessence music at its best. Highlighted by Shiva's vocals, Raja Ram's flute, Allan's exceptional under-stated guitar, Shambu Baba's deeply satisfying bass. There is so much going on, interconnections of sound that sit well with the lyrics. Hippy eastern mythology it may be but as story telling rather than cant/5(16).

  4. Dive Deep, Quintessence 's third album, was effectively more of what had come before, with long instrumental passages, sometimes with definable themes and sometimes sounding as if the band had instructions to jam and see what happened.5/

  7. "Dive deep" was the band's last release on the Island label and, all in all, probably the best of the three. Not that that's saying much. "Dive deep", "The seer" and "Epitaph for tomorrow" all follow the trademark Quintessence path of slow build up, with seemingly directionless flute/guitar jam/fusion before Alan picks up the pace and moves the songs on to a new dimension, all glorious.
